N.B.A. forward and former #2 draft pick Michael Beasley has had a hard time staying on the court thanks to frequent suspensions. Add another to the list.

Shams Charania of The Athletic broke the news. The substance wasn’t mentioned, but it’s safe to say it was cannabis.

Beasley averaged 7.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game during his stay with the Lakers, averaging the fewest minutes per game of his career. Beasley’s limited usage in L.A. came just one year after an impressive 2018-19 showing in which he averaged 13.2 points and 5.6 boards per contest for the New York Knicks.

A free-agent, he has yet to sign with a new team.
