I met Dustin this past summer at a friend’s house. I would mention the friend’s name, but he’s pretty laid back so I won’t give him too much shine. But it was at his apartment in Atlanta that I was introduced to Dustin Hoxworth and Fat Nugs magazine,

The cover of the magazine immediately attracted me. After flipping through a few pages, I was fully impressed with what he was doing. That day, I found out he lived in Atlanta and published the magazine here.

It didn’t dawn on me to invite him to the podcast until a few months ago. I’m glad that I had that opportunity. Dustin was an amazing guest. I got to learn a lot about him including his musical aspirations, his life in film, how the magazine came to life, and why he feels like independent media is needed in a world of pay-for-play.
