This past weekend, the Georgia Access To Medical Cannabis Commission announced the first six licenses for hat will be allowed to sell medicine for patients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This decision will finally give registered patients a legal way to obtain medication that first approved six years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The six companies awarded licenses are listed as <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/georgiagrown.com\/member\/botanical-sciences-llc\/\">Botanical Sciences<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.trulieve.com\/\">Truelieve GA<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FFD GA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nature&#8217;s GA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theratrue.com\/\">TheraTrue GA<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/treevanawellness.com\/about\/\">Treevana Remedy<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ajc.com\/news\/state--regional-govt--politics\/georgia-medical-marijuana-program-starts-after-month-delay\/SAM2nGvobpKBHDaiecPgFL\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Georgia Access to Medical Cannabis Commission<\/a>\u00a0voted unanimously to select the six companies from 69 that had\u00a0applied\u00a0for licenses. State law limits the number of medical marijuana producers to six. Each licensee will be authorized to open\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ajc.com\/politics\/georgia-passes-bill-allowing-30-medical-marijuana-oil-dispensaries\/B2VH6H653JBADEXFHLERPLXZ6U\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">five dispensaries<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The businesses will be able to sell, grow and manufacture medical marijuana oil, which can have no more than 5% THC, the compound that gives marijuana users a high.<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a few delays, patients and potential business owners in Georgia can finally breathe a little.
