CashColorCannabis: How did the concept for “Willy J. Peso Presents: Save the Trees”
Willy J. Peso: The concept came about after my business partner brought me the idea of creating a video game for Xbox. I wanted the game to be cannabis related without being too mature for younger audiences. So we developed Save the Trees, which has a double meaning behind it. Save the Trees represents eco-friendly efforts to try to save the environment as well as my mascot “Willy the Giraffe” saving the trees to get “Stoned Like Willy”.
CashColorCannabis: For someone playing the game, what’s the overall goal? Why is Willy serious about saving the trees
Willy J. Peso: The overall goal of the game is to advance through all the stages in the game while collecting as many trees as possible but avoiding the thieves, police, and government agencies at all cost. Willy is so serious because if you get touched by any villain you lose and must start from the beginning, along with only having three tries before the mission is completely failed.
CashColorCannabis: Do you get any unique powers in the game that you can use?
Willy J. Peso: You have few bonus rounds where Willy The Giraffe gets to pig out on snacks after saving so many trees.
CashColorCannabis: What has the reception been like since the release this past March?
Willy J. Peso: The game has been ranked in the top ten best free downloaded games on Xbox One
CashColorCannabis: Are you a video game fan? If so, what are your top 5 favorite games to play while high?
Willy J. Peso: I use to be a fan of video games in the past, now I just enjoy watching my kid and friends play the games. My all time favorite video game is the Madden series.
CashColorCannabis: Where coming up on the holidays. Any word of a sequel to “Willy J. Peso Presents: Save the Trees”
Willy J. Peso: We are working to release another Save the Trees with more characters and stages. Plus we are working to release the current game on other video game platforms as well.
